About This Project

Sony ACID Pro was the second music production software I ever used. The first was CoolEdit Pro, a really simple software that had green waveforms and looked like the original Microsoft Recorder.

ACID Pro was where I created my first music on a computer. I spent countless hours throughout high school experimenting with loops, layering tracks, and building beats from scratch.

This program taught me more than just music production. It taught me how computers work, how software is structured, and how creativity meets technology. The interface became second natureโ€”the transport controls, the track list, the timeline grid.

Years later, I wanted to bring that nostalgia back, so I rebuilt the interface that you're seeing here as a memory and a reminder of where we have come from.
